Behind every business, there's a story.
Ours began in 2016 when our founder, Ashton, made her first batch of hot processed soap out of her college apartment. It was plain colored and lightly scented, a little crumbly, but it made her skin feel the nicest it's ever felt. From then on, she was hooked. She dropped her other plans and stayed up all night making soap. She skipped classes, missed meals, devoured every book and online resource on making soap, and could not quit. After some time Ashton realized that the soap she made was so high quality she couldn't keep all of it for herself, and started her business under the name Fox and Flora Maker, which turned into Fox and Flora Soap co., and now lives as Foxcraft Goods.
Here's a picture of Ashton in 2017 displaying her handmade creations in Ferdinand, Indiana, for the annual Folk Festival.
We formulate each recipe, cut each bar, and package every item by hand.
Making amazing, gentle products for your body is what keeps us up at night (sometimes literally). Our pride is in using quality, cold-pressed oils and butters, and natural ingredients. We use a blend of essential oils and phthalate-free fragrances for scent, and natural mica and botanicals for colorant.
Our products are free of parabens, phthalates, and palm oil.
We proudly formulate skincare that combine nature & science, using ingredients that are proven to be gentle and safe for even sensitive skin. We thoroughly investigate our ingredients and the supply chain that provides them.
What motivates us:
Creating products that your skin will love
Avoiding ingredients with questionable harvesting standards
Preserving our planet for future generations by using less packaging/waste than mainstream brands
